The 13th Annual SPOOKTACULAR Scarecrow Decorating Contest!!

Beginning September 30th through October 5th, individuals or groups can set-up their decorated Scarecrow display outside local stores along Main Street in Chester. Scarecrows must be made with materials that are able to withstand the outside elements. CONTEST IS FREE and open to individuals, businesses, clubs and organizations. Prizes will be awarded. Judging will take place on October 6th.

The Great Pumpkin Carve-Out!
Friday, October 26th from 4-10pm Saturday October 27th from 2-10pm
Location: The grounds of the Spooky Pole Garden and the Spooky Barn at 100 North Rd, Chester.
Join us Friday night for a special trick or treat as local artists show off their talent by carving pumpkins. Take part in the event by bringing your already carved pumpkin for display and judging or take an eerie walk through the illuminated pumpkins. The pumpkins will be lit and displayed both on Friday and Saturday. Enjoy a fun evening with your family provided by MCAW & Chester Recreation by going next door at the Highlands Barn to the 2nd annual Halloween Workshop Featuring live music & performances, refreshments, a haunted tour, face painting, professional storyteller & more.

The Moonstruck and Three Quarter Time Acapella Quartets can be heard caroling through the streets and shops of Chester and will be performing Holiday favorites on the following Sundays: November 25th, December 2nd, 9th and 16th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
These female quartets are an extension of the Hickory Tree Chorus of New Providence, New Jersey, an award-winning, championship chapter of Sweet Adeline's International— a worldwide organization of female singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance.
